01 The man at the wheel

A jungle kid who never stopped exploring.

My name is Komang, but everyone calls me Mougly.

I grew up in Les — its name literally means forest — a small village wrapped in jungle on the quiet north coast of Bali, far from the crowds. As a barefoot kid I knew every trail, every hidden waterfall and every little temple before I knew how to drive. The nickname stuck, and honestly it fits: this jungle is my home.

For years now I've had the best job I can imagine: driving travelers from all over the world to the places I love most — secret waterfalls, sunrise over the volcano, the little temples my parents still pray in.

I don't just drive you around Bali. I show you my home.

If I recommend a place, a guide or a restaurant, it's one I truly trust and would send my own family to — and if a friend gives me a small thank-you for bringing guests, I'll always tell you openly.
